Our Security Officers ensure a safe, secure and productive environment in our workplaces. As the first point of contact for all employees and visitors to our offices and production facilities, our Security Officers must present themselves in a professional manner while relying on their experience, good judgment and interpersonal skills to meet any unanticipated challenges or needs. In addition to assisting employees and visitors, Security Officers also protect the physical and intellectual property of the company, ensure the confidentiality of our customers’ data and protected health information, and are trained and prepared to respond to emergencies and crisis situations if they should arise.

Our Security Officers are responsible for enforcing safety and security policies and standards across our company and its workplaces. Other responsibilities include:

 

• Assisting and ensuring the security of all company employees and visitors
• Screening and escorting guests
• Monitoring and reviewing closed-circuit television systems (CCTV), access controls and security alarm systems
• Monitoring life-safety and environmental systems
• Ensuring security and safety at on- and off-site company events
• Performing inspections for safety, security and fire hazards
• Patrolling all workplaces and facilities, including external grounds and parking areas
• Reviewing safety compliance of all company vehicles and drivers
• Alerting company employees to severe weather and other potential hazards
• Coordination with external fire, law enforcement and emergency medical services
• Conducting life-safety and emergency response drills and simulations
• Investigating potential security breaches or concerns
• Responding to calls for service as necessary, including
  alarm events
• Screening suspicious packages, persons and/or vehicles
• Initial response to fire, medical and/or hazardous material emergencies

 

A minimum of five years of law enforcement, military police experience, or security experience is required.

 

A high school diploma or GED is required. College-level course work in police sciences or related field, and eligibility for certification in CPR with AED and Basic First Aid are preferred.
